MOTOWN THE MUSICAL

Motown The Musical - Oriental Theater Chicago - It was FANTASTIC!  Valerie was able to score the last two rush seats that afternoon, so our seats were off to the side and so-so.  After intermission, we were able to switch to some vacant seats and we were front and center for the remainder of the show.  The story is about Berry Gordy discovering Detroit artists and founding Motown and nurturing those artists.  It's told musically and sung by performers who sound remarkably like the originals.  One of my favorite plays ever, and like going to a concert with a story about one of my favorite places and set to my favorite music during a bygone era. I could see it again!
