Bunny Bunny Gilda Radner: A Sort of Love Story by Alan Zweibel - Alan and Gilda had been hired at Saturday Night Live as writer and comedienne when their story began. They stayed friends forever and this is the story of that friendship told through their conversations and highlighted by Zweibel's illustrations. We find out that Gilda was not only the funny characters she played on SNL, but also a thoughtful, kind and sweet friend and optimist. Easy to read and enjoy. Somehow Gilda's spirit shines through so that although you know how it will end, you can't be too sad.
The Intern - My mom kept telling me that I'd love this movie with Robert De Niro playing Anne Hathaway's charming senior intern, but there was never any time to get to the show....until now with HBO. My mom was right. Anne doesn't overplay her role and Robert is perfect as the retiree who's not about to slow down. Some of the other actors are favorites from my favorite TV shows, and I loved it!

WHAT IS NOT YOURS IS NOT YOURS * THE NEST
What is not yours is not yours by Helen Oyeyemi - This is a convoluted somewhat difficult-to-read collection of short stories. But....there was something about it that kept me reading. I'm still not sure what. Even though I've claimed it difficult to read, somehow the situations and characters kept me going. It's been almost a week, and I couldn't tell you what it was about. I'm flipping through the pages, and see Ched's, Lucy's and Safiye's names, but not much about what happened to them or who they were comes back to me. There was also something about a library and a garden. I don't know if I liked it and whether to recommend it. You're on your own. The cover is good, and so is the title.
The Nest by Cynthia D'Aprix Sweeney - 100 pages in, and I was wondering why I was reading this. I didn't care about the characters, or their nest, or the writing until some point more than halfway through (I know, I know. I kept reading because it was easy to read and I was really tired when reading and didn't have the wherewithal to figure out which book to read instead/next). Then things started happening and I was curious about what was going on, and it ended just fine.
