SEABISCUIT * SEARCHING FOR SUGARMAN * ME BEFORE YOU

Seabiscuit - We finally watched the movie and it's a great story with horses and the races and old time characters who were still around when I was young.  I thought Seabiscuit was a Triple Crown winner, but instead he was just a scrappy little horse who could run fast and defy odds during the troubled times of the depression in the 1930s.  The simple and flawed people who believed in him make up the rest of Seabiscuit's story.

Searching for Sugarman - Just see it.  Here's the true story of a man who made beautiful music and never got discovered in his own land, yet became a legend and hero in a far away place.  Rodriguez is a magical kind of guy, and for me I love that the story originates in my hometown.  Just see it.

Me Before You by Jojo Moyes - This is about people and their choices and how they often choose to make choices for other people as well as themselves. It will make you think about being able to decide on your own destiny were you to be struck by absolute catastrophe.  It's narrated by a special young woman who grows and changes with her experience.
